Adam:
We finally got the doctor’s report from yesterday morning’s cat scan. He said everything looked good in there, and he seemed pleased with the progress. He is planning on trying to get mom to eat orally later today and he will be starting her on therapy as well! This is definite and marked improvement! We are so blessed by our cousin's arrival, their encouragement to us, and most importantly, cousin Beth's encouragement to mom has been a tremendous blessing. We feel so loved: our brother in Christ, Steve Baker, stayed with us all day long in the hospital encouraging us. So many others have also dropped by or were visiting their loved ones in hospital. We hope we were able to encourage them as well. Dad especially has been reaching out to others in the ICU waiting room.
We continue looking to God, waiting on Him, and seeing what He has in store for us.
Command:
Heb 4:16
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Power:
Psalm 146:8
The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
Answer:
Psalm 34:17
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Our prayers are that God be glorified through this trial and let the glory be His alone. Only He knows what He is going to bring to pass. May we be His tools.

Thanks Adam for the new update. We as a family are praying for you all. I am finding myself waking up in the middle of the night and offering prayer for you all. I am so glad that God is in control and His right hand will sustain you through this.
ReplyDeleteAdam, thank you for this way of updating, it is much appreciated! Please know our family is stopping and praying for your family often throughout the day and will continue to bring you before our Lord. We hope our Lord uses this mightily for His purposes as we know that all things work for good to those who are in Christ Jesus our Lord. Your faith in Christ is a beautiful thing to behold. Give your mother a hug from me please.
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray for your mom's recovery and your family. May God give all of you strength.

Adam,
ReplyDeleteImmediately after hearing the news about your mother, a simple thought came to my mind: Cynthia was devoted to and loved her family deeply,...but she always loved her Lord and Savior more. What a testimony she has been to all of us regarding a life dedicated to Christ and His perfect Word. When I think of her faith and devotion to our Savior tears come to my eyes because even though we live in a land filled with "Christianity," we see such little evidence of the fruits of genuine conversion to Jesus Christ in the Church. How fitting that our Lord used a real saint to show us the hand of God and remind us that God is indeed the One in control. I rejoice that God put Cynthia in my path and I pray God will continue to use your family to bring glory and honor to His name. Our family is standing with you in prayer.
Blessings to all of you,
Cathy Mickels
